Teaching Abroad
Teaching abroad remains one of the clearest early-career routes overseas because the hiring pipeline, visa logic, and day-to-day role are usually more structured than a general overseas job search. Official programs such as JET in Japan, EPIK in South Korea, France’s language assistant program, and NALCAP in Spain offer defined application processes and, in some cases, fixed-term contracts, stipends, insurance, or built-in support.

This is a strong option if you want a credible first move abroad without needing years of experience first. For many applicants, a bachelor’s degree is the baseline, and some programs or hiring channels also favor TEFL or TESOL preparation. Start with official programs, compare contracts carefully, and prioritize roles where visa support, onboarding, and classroom expectations are clearly spelled out.
